F.A.Q.

I’m thinking of joining the club but have never played before, can I come down and

try it out first?

Of course...please see the website Home Page for details of how you can try out some of

our sporting activities and get a feel for the Club before you join.

Do I have to pay a fee for these visits?

Yes!  Just a small fee to cover expenses, nothing that will hurt!

Is the club open to non members to use the courts?

No!  Non members can only use the facilities when booked in and accompanied by a

member or during the introduction programmes per the details on the Home page.

I have decided that I want to become a member....what next?

Great!  Please go to the 'Join Us' page on the website for all the info.  Please don't

hesitate to contact the Club or drop into the Club reception or Gallery bar from 7pm

to 10pm any weekday evening and to talk to a Club representative.

How much is the membership?

Please go to the 'Join Us' page on the website for all the info.  Please don't

hesitate to contact the Club or drop in to discuss payment options, including our Phased

Payment scheme.

Do I have to pay all the fee upfront or do you have a phased payment scheme?

No!  We do have a Phased Payment scheme in operation.  Please contact us for details.

I’m a member now, can I use all the facilities?

All social facilities, i.e. Gallery Bar, Games Room, Changing & Shower facilities, etc. are

available for you to use.  Access to the sport facilities will depend on the membership

level that you chose when joining.

Are there any additional costs?

Just the lights!  Details on these can be found on the Home Page of the Member Area on

the website; don't forget that you need to login to access this area.

Is the Club open all day?

The Club House, Changing & Shower facilities along with all Sports facilities are available

all day.  You will require your access card to gain entry to these facilities; an access card is

included in your initial adult joining fee and additional access cards can be purchased at

a cost of €5 per card.  The Gallery Bar and Games Room are open from 7pm to 10:30pm

on week nights.

That’s great but what if I forget my card?

You can only gain access to the facilities with a valid access card during the day.  There is

an intercom at the main entrance to the Club House where you can buzz for help from

7pm onwards during week nights.  We would encourage you to ensure that you bring

your card to gain access to the Club at all times to save frustration in the event that the

intercom is not answered for some time!!

And if I loose it?

Not a problem we will replace your card, however there is an admin charge.

If I’m a family member do all of us get a card?

One access card included in the initial Family joining fee.  You can purchase additional

access cards, please ask at the Club.

As a member can I bring down friends to play against?

Non members can only use the facilities when booked in and accompanied by a

member or during the introduction programmes per the details on the Home page.

Details of guest Green Fees, etc. can be found on the Home Page of the Member Area on

the website; don't forget that you need to login to access this area.

What if I just want to meet them for a drink in the club?

You can sign in a guest and entertain them in the Gallery Bar; guests cannot by alcohol

themselves in the bar.  The bar staff will advise of the details that need to be entered into

the guest book and any conditions that need to be followed.

I like my old friends but I’m joining to make new ones...how can you help?

In lots of ways!  We have club nights and introduction to sport programmes, please see

the Home Page for details, which is for social and get to know you sport along with

leagues and competitions for all levels throughout the year. There are also many social

events for members through out the year.  Please keep an eye on the website for all

activities.

Are the Social Events open to all or just members?

Social events are primarily for members but guests are very welcome as long as they

are signed in and agree to follow Club rules and etiquette.

Do you do any interclub competitions?

Yes, lots!  The Club takes part in and hosts various Club competitions, including Open

events, regional events along with 'friendly club' events.

I’m a bit rusty...any chance of some coaching?

Absolutely!  Our resident coaches run both Group and Individual coaching programmes.

Please see the relevant Sports sections on the website for details and refer to the

Member Area for contact details

Please continue to browse the website for more information, give the Club a call or send an email should you be unable to find what you are

looking for. Better still, pop into the Club during the evening and meet up with fellow members, ask for the relevant committee members or a member of the Executive who will be delighted to talk to you about any aspect of the Club.
